We at Auburn First UMC seek to put faith in action by being in God's mission and reaching out to and offering support to those in need in our congregation, our community, our nation, and our world. To all people at all times! We seek to care for Creation--the world that God has given us to sustain our lives and the lives of other living things.

Our vision is to go forth into ministries that heal, feed, nurture, care for and empower the people of the whole world. We envision a world of just, free, and peaceful societies.

AFUMC in partnership with the Auburn Food Bank, feed over 100 homeless and needy individuals/families every Monday night!

On behalf of our congregation, we are able to give out basic hygiene products and show this community of people that through Christ we really do care. Every other Monday a team of volunteers set up tables in the Narthex and distribute much needed hygiene items. We also do outreach in local parks or at the Auburn Library. We get the opportunity to sit and talk with these folks; it is a very humbling experience.

With your generous donations, Project Hope has been able to help 150 homeless people and 71 people who are in a home or couch surfing.

We are still in need of basic hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, adult toothbrushes, deodorant, and women's hygiene products. The small hotel size is very popular as they are easy to carry. We also would love to receive donations of used men's shoes and used socks that are in good condition.

So many have told us how thankful they are of this program. We would like to extend a huge thanks to all of you who make Project Hope possible..........Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,   Felix  (Founder & Chair of Project Hope)
