Frequently asked questions

What is a Methodist?

Founded by John Wesley, Methodism is a Christian denomination based on the idea that there should be a method to worship and studying the Bible. The official United Methodist Church website has more information.

How can I give to the church?

Every Sunday we pass an offering plate where congregants can offer monetary gifts to the church. These donations help fund a variety of ministries and services, and can be earmarked for specific use. We also use the Give+ app for mobile giving. It can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.

If you are not able to give financially to the church, we are always in need of volunteers for projects and ministries. Please contact our office manager, Kim Baker, for details.

I am struggling with something. Can you help me?

If you are struggling financially, please come to the church office Monday-Friday, from 9 am-12 pm. We strive to provide as much assistance as possible, and can often help with rent payments and utilities. Please bring your I.D. and the bill that needs to be paid.

If you are seeking emotional assistance and would like to speak to the pastor, please call the church office at (253) 833-3470 ext. 101 to make an appointment. Walk-ins may check in with our office manager, Kim Baker, about the pastor’s availability.
