Meet the Pastor
I was raised Catholic and caught the Christian faith from many wonderful people in my home congregation, where I grew up in Massachusetts. Like many young adults, I began questioning my faith in college. I began to reevaluate what I believed as I learned more about Catholicism. I explored other faith traditions and the long Christian tradition. Eventually, I returned to Christianity, albeit in a slightly different form from my growing up years.

While exploring my faith in college, I was also lucky enough to meet my best friend and future husband, Patrick. Together, we have three amazing children. As a parent, I understand the stress and difficulty of raising healthy, whole children in the midst of a changing digital world, while also working to grow in my profession and caring for older family members. It can be overwhelming to juggle all of these responsibilities.
Whether life is overwhelming or you are exploring faith for the first time, returning after time away, or reevaluating what you have been taught, I hope you find Auburn First UMC to be a place where you can be fully yourself, find community, serve your neighbors, and explore your faith without fear.
As a pastor, I intentionally collaborate with leadership, appreciate dissent, and seek to amplify quieter voices. I believe that by doing so, all decisions are improved as people work together to improve an idea. In addition, this allows the whole community to move forward with an idea as one body.
Over the course of my career, I served congregations of various sizes throughout Washington State. I served for 4 years as a district superintendent overseeing 40+ churches and pastors in the greater Tacoma area, and in 2025, I became a trained interim minister.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, building puzzles, and catching up on all things Star Trek!
