About the event
This service is a chance to celebrate and affirm that every person is unique and made in the image of God.
Each Sunday, we gather together to worship God and support one another. During this in-person and livestreamed service, the pastor will offer a lesson (or sermon) based on Scripture and their reflections on current events. Participants will sing music ranging from traditional hymns to more contemporary pieces, depending on the week. All people are welcome.
Our guest speaker this year is Rev. Kathleen Weber (she/her). Rev. Kathleen Weber is currently serving as District Superintendent for the Crest to Coast Missional District – and is known for her long-standing work toward LGBTQIA+ inclusion. Including publicly "coming out" to her congregation at Blaine Memorial UMC in 2007 during a time of significant denominational debate. She is a second-generation United Methodist pastor with a focus on community care, justice ministries, and congregational leadership helping congregations and conference structures move toward inclusion.
